Before we look at the history (as we promised in the previous blog) let's have a look at the present shaking.
We have learned that coronavirus has been given name 'corona' because it looks like a crown. In some languages, like in Italy and Spanish, corona simply means crown. Some of us have started to wonder why crown, and could it have a connection with the Bible.
The book of Revelation tells us how Jesus, the Lamb of God, is worthy to take the scroll in heaven. When the story goes on, the shakings on the earth will begin when He starts to open the seals of the scroll. John (the writer of the book of Revelation) tells:
"Now I watched when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder, Come! And I looked, and behold, a white horse! And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer." (Rev. 6:1-2 ESV)
So, in the Bible, the worldwide shakings will start when a rider comes down from heaven with a crown, 'corona' to conquer the earth with it. No one knows for sure if this what is going on now with corona is the fulfillment of this prophesy, but not much imagination is needed to think what it could look like.
Later the book of Revelation tells how Jesus himself will return the planet earth riding on a white horse and crowned with many crowns. (Rev. 19:11-16) Corona looks like a foretaste of that. How tiny is the crown that is enough to take over the whole planet! How awesome will the majesty of Jesus be when He returns with His crowns!
Now, what has all this to do with Samaria? Samaria is the area where the nation of Israel was divided 3000 years ago, and according to Ezekiel 37 it will be reunited on the mountains of Israel.
Five seals later in the book of Revelation (before opening of the seventh seal) all the tribes of Israel suddenly appear to the screen, including the so-called lost tribes. (Rev. 7:4-8)
Could it be that we are entering into the era that brings us close to the major events concerning the return of all the 12 tribes, the whole house of Israel? (Ezek. 37:11)
It remains to be seen. But what we know for sure is that God will bring forth His plan on this planet, and a wonderful thing is, that His word and His Kingdom are unshaken.
