Shechem Media is run by two Finnish journalists, Ari and Mia Valkeakari. They have lived in Samaria since 2012.

​They have produced over 120 TV documentaries, the majority of them focusing on Samaria. Their TV series and books are unique, because they bring out insiders point of view.

​For the first seven years Ari and Mia Valkeakari worked for Heaven TV7 Finland. Their TV series have been broadcast in Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Romania, Netherlands and a Russian-speaking web channel.

In 2019, they founded an international media house called Gerizim Media. It was renamed Shechem Media in May 2021.

​​Shechem Media focuses on highlighting what is presently happening in Samaria, as God is fulfilling His promises which are written in the Bible.

​Since September 2020, Ari and Mia Valkeakari have lived in the Samaritan village on Mount Gerizim, where they learn to know the Samaritan community from the inside.
